Vice President, Global Logistics & Trade
Location: Costa Mesa, CA or Southern California Area (Hybrid)
Travel: Approximately 25%+ Global Travel
We are seeking a strategic and transformational Vice President, Global Logistics & Trade to lead and modernize global logistics, fulfillment, trade compliance, and distribution operations for a rapidly growing technology-driven manufacturing organization.
This executive leader will be responsible for developing and executing a multi-year global logistics strategy that supports continued growth, enhances customer experience, optimizes costs, and strengthens operational scalability.
This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing global logistics operations, international trade, warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, and third-party logistics partnerships while building a world-class logistics framework to support future expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a global logistics and trade strategy aligned with long-term business growth objectives
- Create a scalable 5-year roadmap to support expanding global operations and customer demand
- Lead transformation initiatives across logistics, fulfillment, warehousing, transportation, and trade compliance functions
- Establish operational frameworks, governance models, and standard operating procedures that improve efficiency and performance
Global Logistics & Network Optimization
- Lead global transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment operations
- Evaluate and optimize domestic and international logistics networks
- Manage relationships with global third-party logistics (3PL) providers and distribution partners
- Improve service levels, inventory flow, delivery performance, and cost efficiency
- Support global sourcing and supply chain initiatives across multiple international regions
Trade Compliance & International Operations
- Provide executive oversight of global trade compliance programs
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws
- Lead logistics strategy and operational execution throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, India, and additional global markets
- Assess the impact of trade regulations, tariffs, and geopolitical conditions on supply chain operations
Operational Excellence
- Establish KPI-driven performance management systems and reporting structures
- Lead regular business reviews utilizing analytics, operational metrics, and performance data
- Partner with Planning, Quality, Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales teams to improve supply chain performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Lead and develop a high-performing global logistics organization
- Assess organizational capabilities and implement strategic talent and structural improvements
- Provide leadership to a team of approximately 20-25 professionals across logistics, warehousing, compliance, certification, and engineering support functions
- Foster a collaborative, data-driven, and customer-focused culture
- Partner with IT and systems leaders to modernize logistics capabilities
- Drive adoption of supply chain technologies, analytics platforms, automation tools, and process improvements
- Leverage ERP and logistics systems to improve visibility, reporting, and decision-making
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global logistics, supply chain, transportation, or trade compliance
- Proven success developing and executing global logistics strategies
- Extensive experience supporting international operations and complex global supply chains
- Deep expertise managing global 3PL relationships and transportation providers
- Demonstrated success leading logistics or supply chain transformation initiatives
- Strong experience building, developing, and restructuring teams
- Expertise in KPI development, operational excellence, and performance management
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience within electronics, technology, industrial manufacturing, automation, or similarly regulated industries
- Knowledge of supplier development, contract manufacturing, sourcing, and global procurement practices
- Experience supporting operations across Europe, United Kingdom, Latin America, and India
- Oracle ERP experience preferred
