Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a Technical Marketing Director to shape how we communicate security and data protection value globally. You will translate complex capabilities into compelling narratives for practitioners, IT leaders, and executives while aligning with product and field insights.

You will lead technical storytelling, field enablement, and thought leadership, working with product management, engineering, and sales to drive adoption and credibility across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency in professional settings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in technical product marketing or product management for enterprise software or infrastructure technologies.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies, data protection, storage, and virtualization environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-aligned messaging.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Desirable CISSP or similar certifications.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS/engineering/MIS or related field.
• 15+ years in technical marketing with a security focus or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical marketing strategies and assets (demos, blogs, webinars, events) to drive product adoption and awareness.
• Build and deliver compelling demos and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Translate complex features into clear messaging for practitioners, IT leaders, and executives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to execute GTM initiatives.
• Develop technical thought leadership through speaking engagements and analyst briefings.
• Align security strategies with Cohesity solutions to strengthen market positioning.
• Influence product direction by incorporating customer and field insights.
• Maintain a technical demo environment and deploy new technologies for demos.
