Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to lead the Vacation Ownership segment’s US GAAP financial reporting, SEC filings, SOX compliance, and accounting research for strategic transactions and acquisitions.

This role directs the corporate accounting team, oversees close processes, lease accounting, intercompany activity, and related disclosures. The Director will manage external audits, coordinate with senior leadership, and develop accounting positions for new

Qualifications

• Lead technical accounting and reporting for new products and contractual changes to ensure proper revenue/expense recognition and balance sheet classifications.
• Coordinate monthly cross-functional meetings with accounting, finance, real estate, strategic development & acquisitions, and legal teams.
• Manage the lease accounting database and related schedules and ensure accurate disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end/quarter-end close for the Vacation Ownership segment.
• Oversee direct reports’ monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review and approve lease classifications for all Vacation Ownership leases and prepare external reporting schedules.
• Lead quarterly impairment evaluations for long-lived assets and goodwill.
