Job summary

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. seeks a Director of Technical Accounting in Parsippany, NJ to provide ongoing technical accounting guidance and GAAP conclusions for complex business initiatives and potential acquisitions.

The role supports External Reporting with SEC filings and assists monthly close, balance sheet reviews, and internal/external audit responses. A CPA and 10+ years in accounting are required, with Big 4 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting research and SEC reporting.
• Prior public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• SEC financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel; Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing technical accounting guidance for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
• Research and conclude on technical accounting matters with position papers.
• Support external auditors and ensure alignment with accounting positions.
• Conduct asset impairment reviews and post-acquisition accounting.
• Assist External Reporting with quarterly and annual SEC filings; 10-Qs and 10-K; earnings scripts.
