Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to own US GAAP and SEC reporting, lead acquisition accounting end-to-end, and develop repeatable checklists and controls across three reportable segments.

You will partner with the CAO, CFO and Internal Audit, coordinate with external auditors, and drive positions supported by documented analyses, policy manuals, and strong governance to deliver reliable financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• CPA certification active preferred.
• 8+ years accounting experience including public accounting for SEC registrants.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's authority on US GAAP and SEC reporting—research, conclude, and document complex transactions.
• Own acquisition accounting end-to-end: purchase price allocations and opening balance sheets.
• Build and maintain technical accounting checklists and a management review framework.
• Lead SOX 404 controls design and remediation with Internal Audit.
• Coordinate with external auditors on positions and supporting evidence.
