Job summary

Landis+Gyr AG is seeking a Director of Talent Management & Development to lead an integrated enterprise strategy for talent management, employee development, and organizational capability. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role blends strategy with hands-on execution and will build a lean Talent Management and Development team.

The position is global, partnering with executives to translate talent insights into actions, and shaping learning roadmaps, curricula, and development pathways

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience across Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related disciplines.
• Meaningful experience in both Talent Management and enterprise Learning & Development, with depth in at least one discipline.
• Experience designing and implementing an enterprise learning or capability-building strategy.
• Experience designing development solutions for multiple employee populations (professional, functional, managerial, leadership).
• Strong understanding of adult learning, curriculum architecture, program design, and learning evaluation.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and facilitating talent discussions.
• Ability to build new practices and operating models in an evolving organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated enterprise talent and learning strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Build a connected talent framework spanning performance, reviews, succession, career development, mobility and learning.
• Lead talent reviews, calibration, and succession planning for leadership roles.
• Partner with leaders to translate insights into actions: development, movement, retention, and hiring.
• Lead the enterprise learning strategy for professional, functional, technical, managerial, and leadership growth.
• Identify capability needs and convert them into learning roadmaps, curricula, and interventions.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop scalable learning solutions with clear business ownership.
• Advance performance management and strengthen manager capability in goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
• Build career development and internal mobility practices for growth opportunities.
• Define leadership capabilities and develop targeted solutions for various leadership levels.
• Measure talent and learning outcomes to guide leadership decisions and workforce readiness.
• Implement and improve talent and learning technologies, partnerships, and investments.
