Job summary

Liberty University School of Law is seeking a Director of Student Affairs to oversee non-academic and co-curricular support for law students, under the Associate Dean for Administration and Student Development. The role emphasizes student care, policy management, crisis response, and adherence to the Law School's Christian mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in higher education, student development, counseling, or advisory roles required; law school or professional school experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to students regarding personal, interpersonal, and professional development needs.
• Offer appropriate support and spiritual encouragement to students and connect them with counseling, wellness, and pastoral resources as needed.
• Investigate and adjudicate student conduct matters in a fair, consistent, and developmentally oriented manner.
• Oversee and strengthen mentoring programs that foster Christ-centered discipleship, professional identity formation, and meaningful student engagement.
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean to design and implement programs that cultivate a unified, respectful, and mission-driven community among students, faculty, and staff.
• Plan and coordinate key Law School events, including Convocation, the 3L annual Awards Ceremony, and Degree Presentation Ceremony.
• Plan and execute orientation, formation initiatives, and co-curricular programming that supports student development.
• Oversee student organizations to ensure compliance with policies and alignment with the Law School mission.
• Supervise and advise the Student Bar Association, encouraging leadership development and service.
• Assist the Associate Dean in developing, managing, and stewarding the Student Affairs budget.
