Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA, seeks the Associate Director of Residence Life to lead a team of 8 Resident Directors, develop crisis response, and advance leadership curricula on campus.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in higher education administration with 2–3 years in student development and group facilitation, and can coach staff, manage incidents, and foster collaboration across Residence Life programs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of student or peer development and engagement experience.
• 2-3 years of small and large group communication experience in workshop, seminar, or teaching contexts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Resident Directors and conduct biweekly one‑on‑ones to discuss crises and development.
• Plan and lead weekly RD small group sessions for communication, community building, policy updates, and crisis debriefing.
• Review RD work performance and provide feedback, coaching, and correction as needed.
• Provide guidance in elevated residential student crisis scenarios on a on‑call basis.
• Assist in RD training events such as New RD Orientation and RD Training.
