Liberty University School of Law invites applications for the position of Director of Clinical & Experiential Learning. This role leads the school’s clinical education and experiential programs, mentors students, and collaborates with partners to expand opportunities for law students. The successful candidate will have a J.D.

from an ABA-accredited school, an active U.S. license, and a strong Christian worldview in line with the university’s mission.

Qualifications

J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
Active law license in a U.S. jurisdiction with ability to be licensed in Virginia.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and student mentorship.
Experience leading clinical education programs preferred.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic vision and leadership to the clinical education program.
Oversee curriculum development, student supervision, and community partnerships.
Serve as a clinician in at least one clinical program and teach courses.
Mentor clinical students on case work, professionalism, and ethics.
Design new clinics and participate in program evaluation and planning.
Ensure compliance with academic and accreditation requirements.
Engage in scholarly research and publish in clinical legal education.
Participate in professional development activities and stay current with pedagogy.
