Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director of Business Strategy and Operations, focusing on Pipeline and Project Management (PPM) & Data Science (EDGE). Remote work option with a compensation range of $192,000–$288,000 annually.

The role partners with leadership to shape operating rhythms, workforce planning, and resource allocation to strengthen R&D effectiveness. The position requires 5–7 years in biopharma or life sciences, a strong track record in strategic operations or CoS roles, and an advanced degree

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in biopharmaceutical or life sciences with R&D ops.
• Proven track record in strategic operations or Chief of Staff roles.
• Experience in workforce planning and capacity modeling.
• Strong financial management and budget oversight.
• Excellent executive communication skills.
• Advanced degree preferred (MS/PhD/MBA).
• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Chief of Staff and trusted advisor to leadership in pipeline, PM, and data science.
• Facilitate executive operating rhythms, including meetings and strategy sessions.
• Lead multi-year workforce planning and resource allocation initiatives.
• Oversee departmental budgets and financial reporting processes.
• Drive business development diligence and post-transaction integrations.
• Establish goal-setting rhythms and performance tracking for R&D functions.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
