Ladders is seeking a Director of Business Strategy & Operations, Research to join a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech. This role partners with senior scientific leaders to drive operating discipline, governance, and cross-functional execution within a complex R&D environment.

The position requires coordinating budgets, workforce capacity, and integration efforts to support research priorities and business outcomes, serving as a strategic partner and chief of staff to senior leaders.

Qualificações

• 5-7 years in biopharmaceuticals or life sciences with drug development and R&D operations
• Strategic business operations or Chief of Staff experience at the VP/SVP level
• Experience in workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource allocation compliance
• Strong background in managing departmental budgets and financial forecasting
• Experience in business development due diligence and post-deal integration processes
• Exceptional communication skills for executive and board-level presentations
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across global teams

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Business Strategy & Operations, Research to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will serve as a strategic partner to research leadership, helping drive operating discipline, executive coordination, and cross-functional execution across a complex R&D environment. The Director will support senior leaders with high-impact business operations, governance preparation, and organizational planning that enable effective decision‑making. This position also plays a key role in aligning budgets, workforce capacity, and integration efforts to support research priorities and business outcomes.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $192,000 – $288,000 annually

• Serve as Chief of Staff to senior scientific leaders, providing strategic advice and operational support
