Job summary

Visa is seeking a Director on the Community Sales team for the East Region. You will drive sales, growth, client retention, and NPS across a portfolio of community banks and credit unions, shaping long-term payments strategies and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.

The role requires expert negotiation, executive-level relationship building with banking/credit union clients, and a strong ability to translate client strategy into actionable, commercially sound solutions aligned with Visa’s

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• Preferred: 12+ years with bachelor’s or 8-10 years with advanced degree or 6+ years with PhD
• Ability to travel for client meetings, industry conferences and internal meetings
• Understanding of payment networks
• Proven track record in delivering results and negotiating contracts to close deals
• Strong customer-facing communication with executives and stakeholders
• Executive presence and ability to present to the C-suite
• Ability to collaborate across multiple levels and organizations

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy, pipeline, and agenda for the banks and credit unions in the identified market
• Identify strategic opportunities and deliver value to FI clients and their members
• Be the face of Visa to clients and drive market visibility
• Engage with industry associations to drive Visa engagement and visibility in market
• Review market landscape and position Visa as market leader
• Exceed goals with strong execution
• Identify innovation opportunities in the customer's business
• Master CRM and AI tools to manage territory and pipeline
• Influence client vision for the future of electronic payments
• Develop and implement new approaches to meet client and Visa objectives
• Ensure annual goals and plans are achieved
• Represent Visa at industry meetings and lead external speaking engagements
