Job summary

Del Rosa Villa Post Acute is seeking a Director of Staff Development to lead facility orientation, in-service training, and a certification program for nursing assistants. You will collaborate with the DON and Administrator to uphold high-quality care and provide direct resident care as needed.

The ideal candidate has RN or LVN licensure, a BSN preferred, and 1+ year of direct patient care plus education planning experience in long-term care, with 2+ years LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing and possession of a valid RN/LVN license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and document facility orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff.
• Develop and manage In-Service education programs and annual schedules.
• Coordinate training needs based on surveys, evaluations, and regulator guidance.
• Assist with quality care observations and ensure confidentiality.
• Supervise staff and assist with disciplinary actions as needed.
