Job summary

Heritage Manor Care in California seeks a full-time Director of Staff Development to plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training, in-services, and orientation for our clinical team. The role requires leadership to shape in-service programs and to manage records and materials essential to ongoing education.

You will connect with and lead CNA staff and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while supporting facility goals for high-quality guest care

Qualifications

• Must have two years of college completed.
• Must hold a Clear & Active LVN license in California.
• DSD certification is required.
• Minimum two years of post-acute/skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs and orientation.
• Lead in-service educational programs and establish goals and objectives.
• Secure and maintain records and instructional materials for programs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as forms, reports, attendance, and records.
• Connect with and lead CNA staff.

We are looking for a full time Director of Staff Development (DSD).

• Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs and in-services, and orientation.
• Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of the facility.
• Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to in-service educational programs.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, class attendance and subject records, etc.
• Connect with and lead CNA staff.

Requirements

• Must possess, as a minimum, two (2) years college.
• Must possess a Clear & Active LVN license in the State of California.
• Must be DSD Certified
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a post-acute/ skilled nursing facility, LTC or SNF preferred
