Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship seeks a Director of Special Education to lead and advocate for inclusive and equitable education for students with special needs.

The Director is responsible for program development and oversight; compliance with federal, state, and local laws; team leadership and collaboration; student evaluation and assessment; developing ongoing professional development for staff; community engagement; and leading data analysis and reporting efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Special Education required.
• PA Principal or Supervisor of Special Education Certification required.
• Minimum of five years in special education with at least three years in leadership.
• Expertise using educational technology to support accountability and learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advocate for inclusive and equitable education for students with special needs.
• Develop, implement, and oversee special education programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Provide team leadership and collaboration across staff and stakeholders.
• Oversee student evaluation, assessment, and progress reporting.
• Develop ongoing professional development for staff and engage the community.
• Lead data analysis and reporting to inform instructional decisions.
