Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead impactful initiatives within Commercial Banking IT, specifically the Client 360 program and an enterprise data platform for Marketing and Events.

You will drive complex projects, make primary technical decisions, and champion innovation across teams. You will guide data-centric, Agile teams, foster collaboration with stakeholders, and push for cutting-edge approaches in data processing, ETL, and platform reliability to

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Experience with Python and Java development.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (AWS, Spark, Kafka, Databricks).
• Experience implementing complex ETL transformations on big data platforms.
• Unix shell scripting to automate file preparation and database loads.
• Experience in data quality testing and resolving data issues.
• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager.

Responsibilities

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets.
• Transform ETL logic on AWS Platform or Databricks.
• Innovate data management and validation approaches.
• Implement new or enhanced services/scripts.
• Establish guidelines for data asset quality and completeness.
• Apply QA best practices to all work products.
• Analyze, design and code data-driven solutions and architectural changes using Agile methods.
