Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering within Consumer & Community Banking Operations Technology. You will lead multiple technical domains, guide platform development, and champion best practices to deliver scalable, resilient, user-centric solutions.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, drive adoption of advanced technologies, and align with the firm's vision and objectives, shaping the future of financial services.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 10+ years applied experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex items.
• Experience delivering complex, multi-team programs at scale and on schedule.
• Deep expertise across API design, cloud, CI/CD, containers, event streaming, databases, security, and QA automation.
• Experience leading AI-enabled engineering operating models and governance.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives.
• Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus.
• Sets and scales multi-department strategy for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation; establishes guardrails for validation, security, and reuse.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to drive cross-domain reuse and capacity unlock across departments.
• Provides leadership to teams while overseeing populations across platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
• Acts as primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across objectives.
• Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations.
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology.
