JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering within the Employee Platforms, WxT WDA team in New York.

You will lead multiple technical areas, drive data engineering initiatives, and mentor teams across HR, Employee Experience, CAO and EP technology to deliver data products and platforms. You will guide architecture, governance, and strategic decisions, enabling scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms that improve TDQ/BDQ, security, and operational

Qualifications

• 12+ years of applied data engineering experience.
• Hands-on data engineering, testing, and automation.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kafka, Python/Scala, Glue/EMR.
• Experience leading cross-functional technologists and product ownership.
• Experience building data pipelines and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Builds data pipeline and architecture solutions across businesses.
• Champions data production pipeline practices and x-as-Code.
• Utilizes test-driven and data-driven development methods.
• Creates modular designs for a reusable data production framework.
• Leads data engineering scrum teams and influences stakeholders.
• Partners with Product and Architecture for strategic decisions.
• Executes at code level accountability for SDLC and patterns.
• Uplifts data platforms for TDQ/BDQ, security and FinOps.
• Carries governance for coding decisions and cost of ownership.
• Champions diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Transforms HR/EX into scalable data products.
