Job summary

Progress Residential in Phoenix is seeking a Service Director to lead the service team responsible for maintenance work orders across our single-family rental homes. You will drive service quality, oversee technicians and vendors, manage costs and KPIs, and collaborate with central operations to meet corporate goals.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of operations/maintenance leadership, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to train and develop staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 10+ years in operations/maintenance management in housing or multi-site settings.
• Experience supervising multiple staff across a geographic region.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong customer service focus and leadership ability.
• Ability to train and develop service teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily service operations and ensure quality, timely completion, and customer satisfaction across properties.
• Oversee work order execution for Service Technicians and vendors.
• Manage market-level maintenance financial performance to meet budget targets.
• Collaborate with central operations to align with corporate goals and initiatives.
• Lead local teams, driving engagement, accountability, and adherence to standards.
• Identify vendor needs, manage pricing, and implement cost-control measures.
• Drive resident satisfaction and retention through proactive service and timely responses.
• Ensure health and safety compliance at all properties.
