Job summary

Thompson Solutions Group seeks an experienced Director of Service to lead growth, profitability, and operational performance of the Service Division. It oversees electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and small-project operations and guides service managers, field leaders, technicians, and support teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include profitability strategy, budgeting, forecasting, customer relationships, and expanding recurring revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in skilled-trades service operations.
• 5+ years leading field technicians, service managers, or trade professionals.
• Proven success managing a service business with growth and profitability responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance and growth of the Service Division.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Manage department financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs.
• Oversee daily service operations: staffing, scheduling, dispatching, and project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic accounts.
• Support business development and expand recurring revenue opportunities.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor service managers and field leaders.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Leverage data and technology to enhance service delivery.
