We are partnering with a well-established, 20+ year-old sell-side advisory firm that offers proven M&A and private equity alternatives to middle-market companies. The firm helps companies maintain independence, enhance cash flow, and create tax-advantaged shareholder liquidity events. They are hiring their first Director of Sales to drive growth and expand their nationwide presence.

As a Director of Sales, you will join an investment banking practice with unmatched ESOP transaction volume. You will be pivotal in generating client leads, deepening advisory relationships, and driving high-value transactions. Collaborating with executive leadership and marketing teams, you will define sales strategies, execute campaigns, and cultivate relationships across multiple B2B verticals and industry segments.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Implement Sales Strategies: Collaborate with leadership to define and execute sales lifecycle and partnership strategies.
  • Build & Nurture Relationships: Establish and strengthen strategic relationships within targeted regions and industries.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to generate significant revenue, aiming for 5-10 deals annually, each valued at $30mm+.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Cultivate leads and qualify prospects based on clear value metrics.
  • Facilitate High-Value Transactions: Introduce qualified contacts to transaction advisors and guide them through the deal process.
  • Business Development: Conduct outreach via phone and email to cultivated lists and self-sourced prospects.
  • Industry Engagement & Networking: Represent the firm at industry conferences, participate in organizations, and expand market presence.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing to design outreach initiatives that drive engagement and pipeline growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner internally to ensure seamless client engagement and accountability.
  • Market Intelligence: Use industry data and trends to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • 7+ years selling finance, legal, or professional services solutions with a strong record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Existing relationships with financial institutions, professional firms, law firms, or wealth advisors in the west coast, southwest, or southeast markets.
  • Proven success in driving sales and revenue growth with middle-market clients (20+ employees, $5M+ profits).
  • Business development experience in building sales pipelines for law, accounting, consulting, or finance-focused firms.
  • Ability to develop C-level relationships, navigate organizational structures, and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Docs, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
