Description

About Us: Pictor Labs is at the forefront of innovation in the pathology AI space, delivering cutting-edge virtual staining technologies to enhance the efficiency and precision of histopathology. Our solutions enable pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research organizations to unlock deeper insights from tissue samples through advanced, AI driven virtual staining. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to drive our growth and expand our footprint in the pharma and life sciences sectors.

Position Overview: The Director of Sales will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and serve as a senior sales leader responsible for driving revenue across multiple streams: Pictor’s AI Solutions and custom development projects. This role combines both platform sales and custom solution sales, requiring expertise in both transactional and consultative selling approaches within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation: Drive personal revenue through direct sales activities, maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across target markets of 3x coverage across all revenue streams.
  • Strategic Account Management: Lead Pictor’s AI Solutions platform sales and develop and close custom development opportunities, execute quarterly revenue targets across all streams and manage both transactional AI Solutions sales and complex custom development deals
  • Solution Expertise: Serve as a technical sales expert across both AI Solutions platform offerings and custom development solutions and effectively communicate value propositions to technical and business stakeholders and understand and articulate the benefits of both standardized and custom solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and inform product positioning.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and maintain separate pipelines for AI Solutions and custom development opportunities, ensure accurate forecasting across all revenue streams and maintain high-quality CRM data for all opportunities.
Qualifications and Benefits

Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the pathology, pathology AI, or related life sciences industry. Proven experience in both platform sales and custom solution sales with a track record of success in partner/channel revenue generation.
  • Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing multiple revenue streams simultaneously, experience in both transactional (platform) and consultative (custom development) sales.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of digital pathology, AI-driven solutions, and the clinical applications of these technologies. Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior executives, researchers, and clinicians in the pharma and biotech sectors.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with broader business goals and drives long-term growth.
  • Geographic Location: Candidates must live on the East Coast of the US, preferably located between Boston and Philadelphia.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to pivot as needed to meet changing business needs.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) is a plus.
