Job summary

Leadpoint Business Services is seeking an experienced Director of Safety to lead and oversee safety operations across our facilities. This role drives the company’s safety strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, reduces workplace risk, and builds a strong safety culture while traveling to sites as needed.

The Director will provide leadership to Safety Managers and operational leaders, oversee investigations, corrective actions, and OSHA/EPA regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive occupational safety experience in recycling, manufacturing, or high-risk environments.
• Experience leading safety professionals across multiple locations.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
• Professional safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST or equivalent are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall safety strategy and safety programs for Leadpoint operations across multiple locations.
• Manage, develop, and provide direction to safety managers and other operational leaders responsible for workplace safety.
• Establish company-wide safety goals, standards, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Monitor safety performance using injury, incident, workers’ compensation, and audit data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Conduct and oversee safety audits, facility inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identifications.
