Job summary

Power Contracting, LLC is seeking a Director of Safety to standardize, implement and execute companywide safety programs and initiatives. This role builds a positive safety culture and supports a safe, qualified workforce across our operations.

You will lead policy development, conduct inspections, ensure OSHA compliance, develop loss reduction strategies and communicate findings with management to prevent injuries and incidents.

Qualifications

• At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in the electric utilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develops, standardizes, and implements safety policies and procedures across the organization.
• Recommends improvements to safety programs and processes and develops loss reduction strategies.
• Ensures OSHA recordkeeping and reporting are completed.
• Conducts safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Enforces stop authorization for operations that could harm employees or equipment.
• Communicates findings clearly through reports and presentations.
• Collaborates with management to foster a positive safety culture.
