Job summary

Vitality Living in Watkinsville, GA, seeks an Engagement Director to design and promote purposeful, engaging programs for residents across memory care and assisted living. You will lead daily activities, coordinate monthly calendars, and partner with staff to enhance resident connections.

The role requires 2+ years in elder care engagement, strong event planning, and the ability to motivate teams, families, and volunteers to create a vibrant, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with older adults in an engagement role.
• Knowledge of aging and domains of wellness for older adults and ability to apply knowledge to development of engagement programming.
• Ability to facilitate dignified, purposeful, and individualized programming to meet the needs of residents, family, and team members.
• Desire to work with older adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement programs that promote a vibrant lifestyle while modeling appropriate and successful engagement of residents for community staff.
• Lead planning for monthly engagement calendars and daily engagement schedules that meet Vitality standards and align with residents' preferences.
• Effectively leverage technology to enhance engagement for residents and as a tool for team members to engage residents.
• Lead planning for special events, parties, and larger events for the entire community, including Memory Care with other team members.
• Coordinate outings, special events, and partnerships to enhance engagement experiences for residents.
