Job summary

Invenergy seeks a Director of Project Engineering, Renewable Engineering, to lead the Project Engineering function for wind, solar, and hybrid projects. You will ensure consistent technical execution across EPC obligations, interconnection commitments, and engineering deliverables while partnering with PM and other engineering teams.

We expect 10+ years in renewables with leadership in multidisciplinary settings, strong EPC/contract experience, and readiness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in renewable energy, power generation, or related leadership roles.
• 5+ years leading engineers, technical teams, or cross-functional projects.
• Experience with utility-scale wind/solar/BESS/hybrid projects through design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
• Strong EPC, interconnection, and technical coordination understanding.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to sites and facilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Project Engineering function for wind, solar, and hybrid projects.
• Ensure technical delivery across engineering deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and issues.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including EPC, utilities, and owners engineers.
• Align Project Engineering with Project Management for technical and commercial success.
• Own risk identification, escalation, and technical standards improvements.
• Support financing and due diligence with technical responses.
• Manage resource allocation and hiring strategy for projects.
