Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Leader for Financial Reporting to drive global GAAP/IFRS guidance, oversee large teams, and manage regulatory filings. You will partner with senior executives, coordinate external audits, and lead reporting improvements across investment funds and client relationships.

The role emphasizes strategic oversight, risk management, and adoption of AI and automation to enhance accuracy, scalability, and efficiency in reporting.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large teams of financial reporting professionals.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, U.S. GAAP, Lux GAAP.
• Experience with investment funds (mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, alts).
• CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional Financial Reporting organization with strategic oversight of client relationships.
• Develop and execute business plans, set operating frameworks, priorities and performance standards.
• Provide leadership on complex financial statement disclosures and regulatory requirements, including GAAP.
• Oversee relationships with external auditors, clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely filings.
• Establish reporting policies, governance standards, and quality controls for high-quality statements and investor reporting.
• Partner with senior client representatives and audit leadership to communicate complex accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled solutions to improve reporting efficiency.
• Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams with talent management and succession planning.
