Job summary

GSK is seeking a Quantitative Systems Pharmacologist Lead within CPQM to drive mechanistic modelling and decision support across preclinical to clinical development. You will build end‑to‑end QSP/QST models, collaborate with biology, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, and imaging teams, and shape evidence plans for disease areas of interest.

This role offers leadership in a rapidly expanding portfolio and opportunities to influence strategic decisions.

Qualifications

PhD, MD or PharmD with mechanistic modelling experience in pharmaceutical R&D.
7+ years in mechanistic modelling and simulation to support drug development.

Responsibilities

Build and guide mathematical model development to understand disease progression and drug action.
Apply mechanistic models of biological systems to evaluate disease pathways and treatment modalities.
Develop and utilize advanced tools including inverse-problem modelling, scientific ML, and statistical techniques.
Define and execute a coordinated scientific strategy (3–24 months) coordinating outputs from multiple expertise areas.
Collaborate with biologists, clinicians, pharmacologists, statisticians, AIML, imaging, and biomarker teams.
Implement best practices to advance CPQM modelling contributions to the R&D pipeline.
Create collaboration frameworks with internal and external experts for model development.
Learn and apply emerging methodologies to enhance program efficiency and decision quality.
