Job summary

AltaMed Health Services in California seeks a Director of Prospect Development to architect and lead a comprehensive donor insights program, blending advanced research, portfolio management, and executive BI.

You will guide a team to identify new prospects, analyze donor information, and optimize assignments; you’ll develop metrics and capacity modeling, driving principal gift revenue in partnership with the Foundation’s leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, computer science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional fundraising/advancement experience.
• Minimum of 5 years supervising professional teams and managing enterprise-level initiatives.
• Mastery of APRA Level II with prospect management experience in CMIA or FQHC settings.
• 2+ years with prospect research platforms and CRMs (see tools).
• Experience with data analysis, statistics, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead a comprehensive prospect development ecosystem.
• Lead the team to identify, analyze, and assign donors to optimize portfolios.
• Develop metrics, goals, projections, and capacity modeling.
• Serve as strategic advisor to executive leadership and drive revenue.
• Scale and govern an integrated prospect development department with due diligence.
