Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director of Production Operations 2 in Roy, Utah, to lead the Sentinel Program’s Production Operations team and ensure program milestones are met. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, extensive manufacturing leadership, and collaboration with the SDS leadership and program management teams.

The position entails strategic planning for long-term production, execution of complex scheduling, and strong communication with customers and senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years’ experience (or 8 years with a Masters) in defense or aerospace systems and/or management in development or production projects.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• 3+ years leading and/or managing teams on complex projects.
• Experience with DoD customers and/or partners.
• Ability to travel domestically, up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Operations Team for the Sentinel Program, ensuring all operational aspects from material procurement to finished product delivery align with program baselines.
• Drive integration with the Sentinel leadership team to align manufacturing and production strategy and lead an IPT across multiple disciplines.
• Develop long-range plans and milestones, manage to program plans, and deliverables while maintaining schedule.
• Oversee production scheduling, first articles, long lead planning, rate build-up, and rate readiness assessments.
• Coordinate resource plans and visibility metrics with the Integrated Master Schedule and Master Production Schedule.
• Present production status, metrics, and program performance to management and the customer when applicable.
• Oversee all proposal efforts for the Sentinel Production Operations team and mentor leadership发展.
