Moxie Communications Group, a NYC-based PR agency, seeks a Director to lead account teams and drive PR strategies for enterprise B2B tech clients. 8+ years in PR and 4+ years in management are required, with remote-first work and optional NYC/LA offices.

This role focuses on mentorship, media outreach, and strategic client leadership, with a path to grow the agency and its clients across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of public relations experience in an agency environment for enterprise B2B tech clients.
• 4+ years of managing multiple teams and clients.
• Proven ability to secure media coverage across business, consumer, tech or trade press.
• Ability to translate client goals into actionable, strategy plans with clear metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; mentorship of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PR and thought leadership strategy for 5+ clients.
• Lead teams of 4–7 people and drive day-to-day execution.
• Build client relationships and provide strategic counsel; lead client calls.
• Develop bold story ideas and inspire idea generation.
• Maintain media relationships and manage outlet contacts.
• Advise on crisis messaging and communications.
• Media train clients and staff for journalist interviews.
• Review messaging, press releases, and materials with actionable feedback.
• Act as a company leader; mentor direct reports and support growth.
• Lead new business calls and pitches.
