This position is open to candidates based in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or California. Moxie operates as a remote-first team with offices in New York City (SoHo, Manhattan) and Los Angeles (Culver City) available to those who want them. While this is a remote position, we expect this person to come into the office once a week from time to time, especially during onboarding, team intensive strategy sessions, or key client pitches.

  • Confidently build client relationships and provide persuasive, strategic counsel; lead client calls
  • Develop bold, big picture story ideas with teams, while inspiring idea generation
  • Maintain and leverage key media relationships, owning specific outlets and contacts
  • Manage client crisis recommendations, messaging and communications, anticipating and averting potential crises
  • Media train clients and staff high-level journalist interviews
  • Review documents, including messaging, strategies, press releases, and other materials, and provide actionable feedback
  • Serve as a company leader in both team and agency growth, exhibiting excellent judgment and professionalism while managing and mentoring direct reports
  • Lead new business calls and pitches
Qualifications

  • Proven record of translating client goals into actionable, strategic plans with clear success metrics
  • Proactive, persistent, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to stay organized and adapt quickly in a fast-paced media landscape to deliver on client KPIs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor sharp messaging for various media verticals, audiences and contexts
  • A collaborative mindset, passion for continuous learning, and genuine interest in mentorship of junior team members
  • Experience leading thought leadership (conferences, awards, contributed content / op-eds), affiliate marketing, and/or influencer programs is a plus
Why You’ll Love Us:
