Job summary

Primoris Energy Services seeks a Director of Projects to lead multi‑million dollar power generation projects, focusing on gas and steam turbine simple cycle and combined cycle generation. You will oversee pre‑construction through close‑out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and financial performance.

This role requires strong leadership of cross‑functional teams, robust project controls, stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering large EPC initiatives in energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years in industrial or power construction projects with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience managing large EPC projects (>$100M) in gas turbine co-generation, LNG, or related energy infrastructure.
• Strong project controls, contract administration, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall project leadership for multi-million-dollar power projects.
• Serve as the client’s primary contact, maintaining trust and satisfaction.
• Lead engineering, procurement, construction, and safety teams for seamless execution.
• Oversee contractor performance and regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation to protect schedule and budget.
• Resolve multi-discipline technical challenges with internal and external partners.
• Participate in safety reviews (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA) to promote excellence.
• Manage change control processes with clear documentation and approvals.
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing, resources, and portfolio strategy.
