Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Project Director to lead a large-scale gas & steam turbine generation project in Central Texas, spanning pre-construction to close-out. You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and safety teams to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

The role requires 15+ years in industrial/power construction, with at least 5 years in leadership as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director, and willingness to travel to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in industrial or power construction projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing large EPC projects (>$100M) in gas turbine co-generation, LNG, or related energy infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction management, project controls, and contract administration.
• Ability to lead large cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall project leadership and accountability for a multi-million-dollar power project from pre-construction through close-out.
• Serve as the client's primary point of contact maintaining communication, trust, and satisfaction.
• Lead internal project teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and safety functions.
• Oversee contractor performance ensuring compliance with specs, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive project performance, identify risk factors early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on manpower planning and portfolio strategy.
