Job summary

insightsoftware seeks a seasoned Director of Software Engineering to lead the Platform & Architecture vertical, modernizing a greenfield equity platform on Azure. You will oversee 4–6 teams, drive MVP/GA, and ensure the stability of the legacy CEM platform while migrating to the new system.

Strong execution, cross-functional leadership, and AI-driven development are essential. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will partner with Solution Architecture, Product Management, and UX

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments, incl. 5+ years leading managers or senior managers at Director level.
• Proven track record delivering large, ambiguous, cross-functional programs to completion.
• Bias toward smallest end-to-end slice that proves a concept works.
• Strong executive communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing distributed, global teams across time zones.
• Proven track record in spec-driven or AI-assisted development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery accountability for the modernization initiative across 4–6 teams.
• Partner with Solution Architect to translate direction into a sequenced delivery plan.
• Drive Spec-Driven Development and AI development practices.
• Grow usage of modern AI development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own engineering and QA while coordinating with Product and UX as a matrixed partner.
• Maintain delivery standards and definition-of-done across Engineering, Product, and UX/Design.
• Identify blockers and misalignment early; accountabilities across leaders.
• Communicate program status candidly to Sr Director, VP, and executives.
• Lead broker integrations and Core CEM portfolio delivery end-to-end.
• Manage 4–6 teams and hire, onboard, and retain talent.
