Job summary

insightsoftware, a global provider of reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Platform Services team. You will own reliability, observability, and modernization across the Certent Equity Management platform, writing code and driving architecture in a cloud-native Azure environment.

You will lead by example, mentoring engineers, defining standards, and delivering scalable, resilient services across multiple production

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering in enterprise SaaS environments, at Principal/Senior Principal level.
• Deep expertise in C# and .NET across framework generations, including legacy and modern .NET.
• Hands-on Azure cloud architecture experience with cloud-native services and patterns.
• Strong Oracle Database proficiency and SQL performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Own platform reliability, observability, and modernization across the Platform Services portfolio.
• Architect and implement cloud-native patterns, resiliency, and scalable services.
• Migrate legacy services across .NET generations while minimizing disruption.
• Write and review production-quality code across C#, .NET, and Oracle SQL.
• Lead AI-first engineering initiatives and push AI tooling adoption.
• Mentor engineers and uphold engineering standards across multiple teams.
