Job summary

Staffmark Group seeks a Director of Maintenance and Plant Engineering in Manchester, TN. Lead engineering, maintenance, facilities, and utilities to drive reliability and uptime in a high-impact manufacturing environment.

You will oversee capital projects, preventive/predictive maintenance, and safety compliance while guiding a teams of engineers and maintenance professionals toward operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; leadership experience may be considered as alternative
• 8–10 years in engineering, maintenance, reliability, facilities, or capital projects leadership in manufacturing
• Experience leading engineers, maintenance professionals, managers or skilled trades teams

Responsibilities

• Lead plant engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities, reliability, and technical support teams.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability and plant uptime.
• Track KPIs including downtime, PM compliance, equipment effectiveness, maintenance costs and repair performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
• Direct capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, equipment installation, commissioning and startup.
• Support automation, controls, robotics, tooling, utilities, and facility initiatives.
• Partner with production teams on capacity planning, product launches, continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, energy efficiency, process standardization and data-driven decision making.
• Lead workforce planning, technical development, succession planning and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory and customer requirements.
