Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) in Bremerton, WA, seeks a Director of Philanthropy to advance mission-driven fundraising, strengthen programs, and expand community impact. You will work with the Senior Director of Communications to cultivate donor relationships, coordinate major gifts and grants, and connect supporters with opportunities to invest in behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of professional experience in personal solicitation or similar fundraising roles.
• Experience with donor databases for fundraising, subscription, or membership purposes.
• Requires driving and reliable transportation; licensed in Washington with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with individual donors including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Coordinate with the Senior Director of Communications to align donor engagement, major gifts, grants, and outreach with KMHS goals.
• Develop donor communications, stewardship materials, and impact reports.
• Partner with the grant manager to coordinate grant development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate donor data, gift records, and reporting in fundraising systems.
• Monitor fundraising progress and provide updates to leadership to meet annual and long-term goals.
• Ensure fundraising practices reflect ethical standards and donor intent.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify funding needs and donor engagement pathways.
