Job summary

KSPS PBS in Spokane is seeking a Director of Philanthropy & Fundraising to lead a high-performing development team and guide a growing philanthropy program. You will steward major gifts, planned giving, corporate underwriting, and development operations while partnering with an executive team and board that understands fundraising as an organizational responsibility.

Qualifications

• Significant professional fundraising experience with growth in responsibility and results.
• Proven track record in building donor relationships and securing philanthropic support.
• Experience with multiple fundraising channels and campaigns.
• Demonstrated leadership to coach and develop a professional team.
• Strong analytical skills with CRM systems and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to plan strategically while managing fundraising operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support an experienced development team, setting goals and ensuring accountability.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategy for a $4.8 million annual program.
• Oversee a three-year plan to replace lost federal funding with sustainable revenue.
• Personally manage a focused portfolio of 25–40 major donor prospects with senior-level engagement.
• Strengthen donor stewardship, retention, moves management, and pipeline development.
• Collaborate with a Board of Directors that maintains 100% board giving.
• Oversee a $1.6 million annual development budget and align investments with strategy.
• Utilize data, CRM, segmentation, forecasting, and performance metrics to inform decisions.
