Kitsap Mental Health Services in Bremerton, WA seeks a Grants and Foundation Relations Manager to secure funding for behavioral health programs across Kitsap County. The role blends strategy, relationship building, project management, and proposal development to connect funding opportunities with community impact.

As part of a collaborative team, you will manage a portfolio of funders, coordinate cross‑department efforts, and ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (English, communications, business, public administration, nonprofit management, public health, social sciences) or equivalent experience.
• Five years of grant development/management experience with a track record of competitive proposals.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and coordinating diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with grant management systems and tracking tools.
• Travel to KMHS worksites or grant-related meetings may be required and driving credentials must be met.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of government, foundation, corporate, and institutional funding opportunities through all grant stages.
• Research and evaluate funding opportunities aligned with agency priorities and capacity.
• Lead development, coordination, and submission of grant proposals and materials.
• Collaborate with leadership, Finance, programs, Communications, Quality, and Facilities throughout the grant process.
• Develop and maintain grant management systems, calendars, and records.
• Monitor awards, reporting deadlines, and post‑award activities.
• Build relationships with government agencies, foundations, and other partners.
• Maintain organizational content and data for applications and reports.
• Monitor funding trends and regulatory changes and advise leadership.
• Support a coordinated institutional funding strategy with the Director of Philanthropy.
