Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to oversee OR, Recovery, Endoscopy, Central Sterile, Ambulatory Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiology and Preadmission Testing across AHN facilities.

The role reports to the Vice President and hospital executive team, leads a diverse nursing team, manages staffing, budget and quality initiatives, and drives patient safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Preferred perioperative leadership certification and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing perioperative nursing team with coaching and training.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and departmental budget across OR-related areas.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia leadership to drive operational excellence and patient safety.
• Establish and monitor infection control and patient safety programs; participate in quality initiatives.
• Oversee capital budgeting, governance models, KPI tracking, and large-scale project management.
