Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network (Highmark Health), seeks an RN with perioperative experience for operating room coordination. You will collaborate with the OR Manager, circulate or scrub, and drive safe patient care in a high-volume surgical setting.

The role requires current RN licensure and 2+ years perioperative nursing, with CPR certification and required clearances. BSN preferred; full-time, rotating days/nights with holidays.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN and perioperative nursing experience required.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Background clearances as specified (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI).

Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in the OR as a clinical expert for selected subspecialties.
• Coordinate cost effective, safe patient care within budget and monitor inventory.
• Develop and revise systems for supplies and equipment with OR leadership.
• Serve as charge RN when needed and supervise staff to complete projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
