Ridgeview Institute - Smyrna seeks a Director of Performance Improvement / Risk Management to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive PI and risk program. You will partner with leadership and medical staff to strengthen patient safety, quality outcomes, and survey readiness.

The role requires 2+ years in quality improvement within healthcare and Georgia licensure is preferred. A bachelor’s in nursing/health fields is preferred, with Excel, business writing, CPR/First Aid, and CPI training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health-related field preferred.
• 2+ years of quality improvement experience in healthcare/behavioral health preferred.
• Georgia licensure preferred; CPR/First Aid and CPI training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily performance improvement activities per policies.
• Lead PI activities and ensure actions align with hospital procedures.
• Review performance measures and coordinate reporting of findings.
• Maintain PI records and statistical tools for tracking outcomes.
• Review incident reports, surveys, and patient complaints for trends and opportunities.
• Attend PI meetings and share relevant data with stakeholders.
• Support Joint Commission, CMS, and state survey readiness.
• Partner with leadership and Patient Advocate to support safety and service recovery.

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a motivated, dependable, and dedicated leader to serve as our Director of Performance Improvement / Risk Management. This role partners with leadership and medical staff to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive PI and Risk Management program that strengthens patient safety, quality outcomes, and survey readiness.

• Supervise and support daily performance improvement activities, ensuring actions are taken as needed and authorized by organizational policies and procedures.
• Lead daily performance improvement activities and ensure actions are taken in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Receive and review department/service performance measures and documentation; coordinate reporting of findings.
• Maintain PI records, performance measures, and statistical tools used for tracking outcomes and improvement work.
• Review incident reports, patient/physician surveys, and patient complaints to identify patterns and trends and identify improvement opportunities.
• Attend and participate in meetings where PI activities occur and share relevant data appropriately.
• Support Joint Commission, CMS, and state survey readiness.
• Partner closely with hospital leadership and the Patient Advocate to support service recovery and a strong culture of safety.

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing or a health-related field is preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement is preferred.
• Licensure to practice nursing or in a mental health-related field in Georgia is preferred. Computer skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and business writing. CPR/First Aid and CPI trained and certified

Compensation

This is a full-time role, and the expected compensation range is between $90,000.00 and $100,000.00, with an annual bonus opportunity.
