Job summary

Accelerate Change is seeking a Director of People Operations to lead a growing, equity-focused People Ops team in a fully remote role. You will manage the department, shape compensation, onboarding, and employee development, and partner across functions to drive inclusive practices.

This role reports to the VP of People and collaborates with senior leadership. You will design development programs, improve engagement, and ensure compliant HR operations while supporting a remote, nationwide team

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a People Operations department.
• Experience managing salary and compensation.
• Ability to work remotely across the country.
• Commitment to equity and anti-racist practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the People Operations Department and ensure its outcomes.
• Manage onboarding, lifecycle, retention, and offboarding for Central Team and incubated partners.
• Oversee salary and compensation packages, growth plans and promotions.
• Lead onboarding for new staff and ensure seamless communication.
• Develop and manage programs that improve employee engagement and align with strategic goals.
• Streamline HR processes and collaborate cross-functionally to standardize workflows.
• Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory changes, and employment law.
• Design talent development and career progression programs for equity in access to growth.
• Present HR metrics and initiatives to leadership.
• Support staff development with targeted training and resources.
• Handle sensitive personnel matters, including investigations and accommodations.
• Liaise with Partners and provide or request support as needed.
• Hold or pursue SHRM/HRCI Certification.
