Job summary

Tekmetric is hiring a Director of People Operations to own the People function’s backbone, including total rewards, HR systems, compliance, and analytics. You will partner with Finance and the VP of People & Culture to design scalable programs for a fast-growing SaaS company with multi-state and international teams.

You’ll lead a small team, drive strategic and hands-on HR initiatives, and use data to guide decisions while maintaining executive presence and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive People/HR experience.
• Leading an HR/People team in a high-growth SaaS company.
• Experience with employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, performance management, and HR operations.
• Compensation benchmarking, leveling, and benefits program design (total rewards).
• Experience with HCM/HRIS platforms (Rippling preferred), data integrity, reporting, and AI tools.
• Multi-state workforce management, with international exposure preferred.
• Leadership of a team of 4-5 direct reports; strategic and hands-on execution.
• Strong analytical, data-driven mindset and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve systems, workflows, and operating rhythms across the employee lifecycle.
• Lead compensation and benefits programs in partnership with Finance.
• Ensure compliance across federal, state, local, and international requirements.
• Surface workforce insights with HRIS reporting and AI tools to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with the VP of People & Culture to evolve programs and operating model.
