Reports to: CFO

Salary range: $130,000-$150,000

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in aligning our people operations with business objectives, scaling our workforce, and championing a dynamic employee experience. What You’ll Do:

People Operations & Team Leadership

  • Provide oversight and strategic leadership for all core HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, employment policies, employee engagement, compensation strategy, and learning and development.
  • Lead and support the People Team in a collaborative and relational manner, working closely with People Team leaders to ensure alignment, employee support, and excellence across all people-related operations.
  • Ensure people-related policies and systems are fair, legally compliant, and reflect the organization's vision and core values.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR systems and processes to support efficiency, data integrity, and a positive employee experience.

Organizational Development, Learning, & Performance

  • Equip managers with practical tools and guidance to support their teams' development while empowering them to build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to design, curate and deliver growth pathways and learning.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership for leadership development, management training, and coaching to strengthen capabilities across the organization-from frontline staff to senior leaders-supporting long-term growth and sustainability.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Aptarro’s hiring strategy to attract and retain high-impact, vision-aligned talent.
  • Partner with the hiring managers to create clear job descriptions, interview processes, and evaluation tools that identify candidates with the skills and experience to thrive
  • Oversee a welcoming, values-based onboarding experience that sets new hires up for long-term success and connection to the organization.

Employee Relations & Stewardship

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and managers, ensuring fair, compassionate and legally-sound resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Foster a workplace culture rooted in trust, transparency, and high performance.
  • Develop and implement systems of support, recognition, and open communication that contribute to employee well-being and retention.

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

  • Lead the development and ongoing management of Aptarro’s compensation philosophy and structure to ensure pay equity, market alignment, and internal consistency across roles.
  • Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive benefit offerings, including health, retirement plans, and additional employee programs.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure compensation planning is sustainable and supports long-term organizational goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership with preferred experience in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
  • Proven success in change management, organizational effectiveness, and building manager capability.
  • Experience leading complex talent initiatives such as org design, M&A integration, etc.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization, including a history of working seamlessly with executive leaders and frontline managers alike
  • Analytical mindset with a bias for action—you use data to drive decisions and hold yourself accountable for results.
  • Driver/leader mentality with high agency and an orientation to push ahead / not wait to be asked.
