JOB TITLE: Sr. Manager, Human Resources

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Chief of Staff

TYPE: Full Time, Exempt

LOCATION: Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. HR Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for fostering a positive work environment and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and culture. Serve as a trusted advisor to management on HR matters. Lead the Human Resources team and oversee day-to-day business needs.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new hires. Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee grievances, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture. Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure effective communication.
  • Performance Management: Administer performance appraisal systems, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans. Support managers in setting clear expectations and goals.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on legal and regulatory requirements related to employment and human resources.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze HR metrics to provide actionable insights to leadership. Prepare and present reports on HR activities and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software systems (Paycor preferred but not required) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
