Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Bloomington, IN, is seeking a Director of Learning & Organizational Development to shape AP’s strategy for learning, leadership development, workforce capability, succession planning and organizational effectiveness.

You will oversee career pathing, talent development and learning technologies, partner with the CHRO and senior leaders to build leadership capacity, and drive culture supporting growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education or related field.
• 10+ years in Learning & Development or HR leadership.
• 5+ years managing teams and programs.
• Experience in construction/manufacturing sectors preferred.
• Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPTD preferred.
• Experience designing leadership development and succession programs.
• Experience using learning technologies and analytics.
• Collaborative leadership with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute company-wide learning and workforce capability strategy.
• Lead succession planning and leadership development programs.
• Create career paths and talent systems for internal mobility.
• Oversee Workday LMS and learning tech ecosystem.
• Establish KPIs and report on learning outcomes.
• Coach and develop the Learning & Development team.
• Partner with executives to align talent with business goals.
