Job summary

Crandall Associates, Inc. is seeking a Director of Payment Operations to drive end-to-end transformation, scaling customer payments services, and modernization across processing, funding mechanisms and reconciliation.

You will lead a matrix team, deliver a multi-year roadmap, and partner with banking and fintech providers to maintain compliance and high performance. Operational oversight includes SLAs, KPIs, and risk reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in payments operations or a related regulated environment.
• Proven track record in payments or financial services transformation.
• Deep understanding of payment ecosystems and reconciliation and funding mechanisms.
• Experience managing third-party banking or fintech relationships with regulatory and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap to improve speed, reliability and customer experience across payments channels.
• Identify automation opportunities to scale processing and reduce manual work.
• Oversee customer payments processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
• Own reconciliation of payments to accounts and define operational controls, SLAs and escalation frameworks.
• Monitor KPIs and cash flow metrics; report performance and risks to senior leadership.
• Lead governance and performance oversight with banking partners and ensure regulatory adherence.
