Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Director of Operations for our client in Roseland, NJ, a home automation company. The role partners with the CEO to boost efficiency, manage a broad operations scope, and drive service excellence across installations, maintenance, and client relations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in home automation with leadership experience, reads ceiling plans, and can manage inventory, parts, and schedules toward scalable growth including COO potential.

Qualifications

• 10 years in home automation including installation and maintenance.
• 2+ years of leadership in a service business.
• Read ceiling plans and understand construction.
• Communicate with construction trades for installations.
• Experience with network management software such as Cisco Meraki.
• Proficient in automation software including Crestron and Control4.
• Drive efficiency in sales, costs, supplies, and operations.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Automation and construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage team members in billable hours.
• Coordinate parts delivery to technicians and maintain schedules.
• Oversee inventory management and establish an efficient system.
• Manage team morale and conduct regular check-ins.
• Utilize network software to ensure proper installations.
• Supervise technicians and ensure timely client-site attendance.
• Recruit and onboard new team members.
• Communicate with clients and homeowners as necessary.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure project execution.
• Drive efficiency across sales, costs, and operations.
